STEP 1 – PREPARING YOUR AIR COMPRESSOR
The air compressor you are using needs to have the air flow capacity of at least 8 CFM (cubic feet per minute) or more air flow than your sprinkler system head count so air could travel easily through it. For example, if you have a sprinkler system that has 12 heads then air compressor that has at least 20 CFM air flow should be enough to air up those sprinklers without any issues. It is also recommended for your air compressor to deliver 90 PSI of air pressure so it could air up your sprinklers easily.
STEP 2 – FILLING UP THE AIR COMPRESSOR TANK
After air compressor is plugged in, air compressor tank needs to be filled up with air. If your air compressor has a built-in tank then make sure that the air compressor is full before proceeding while if it doesn’t have a built-in air tank then you need to use an external air air tank to air it up.
STEP 3 – SETTING UP YOUR SPRAY MANIFOLD
You need to set up your sprinkler system spray manifold before air compressor air up process can be done. Your sprinkler system should now be fully pressurized and all you need to do is wait for 5 minutes or so until water starts coming out from your sprinklers!
